Participants will have hands-on experience learning the benefits of making and how it can best be integrated into their classrooms. There will be cardboard, there will be making, there will be learning.

Educators constantly live by their planners, we are known multi-taskers. If you are a person that likes to make To-Do lists, and/or create art this is the perfect mashup for you! Learn how to take the basic bullet journal concept and make it work for you.

This workshop will be an introduction to Google Earth. We will explore the tool and look at the numerous ways that Google Earth might be used in a classroom to support student learning.

Join Derek Runberg from SparkFun Electronics to explore programming with the micro:bit and Microsoft MakeCode. During this session, we will start with the basics of programming hardware using this inexpensive, flexible and accessible piece of hardware that can be programmed using a Chromebook and a basic WiFi connection. The workshop will wrap up with a presentation on the micro:bit ecosystem from SparkFun that includes a number of kits and resources to expand the capabilities and uses of micro:bit. Through this ecosystem, electronics and sensors can be embedded into a number of subjects across the curriculum including Weather Sciences, Robotics, Social Studies and more.
